The Parents Day Out (PDO) is an outreach program of Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake and reflects the mission statement of “Sharing God’s Grace with all through our rich traditions of faith, family and community.” As an Outreach Ministry, we serve families in our Grace Church congregation, Lily Lake, St. Charles, Elburn and surrounding communities. We follow the District 301 school calendar. The program offers a caring, nurturing, faith based and safe environment for your child. While your child is at Grace's Preschool & Parents Day Out, they are learning through play in a fun and engaging way. Children have the opportunity to learn about Jesus, strengthen social and emotional skills and other developing skills such as number, color, and shape recognition as they learn through play and grow in faith.
Parent/guardians may register their child to attend for the entire program year, one or two days per week -OR- may register their child to attend on an "as needed" plan. If choosing the "as needed" plan, space is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Our program runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from September 9, 2024 through May 21, 2025 from 9:15am - 1:15pm. We use the lower level south church entrance. Children should be toilet trained. Experienced and dedicated staff provide a 1:5 ratio for three to five year-olds. Our teachers are Red Cross certified in child CPR & First Aid.
A typical daily schedule includes:
*Circle Time which includes a Bible Story, Calendar and Weather
* Indoor and/or Outdoor Gross Motor Time
* Snack and Lunch
* Crafts
* Music & Dance
* Cooperative Free Play
Tuition is $36/day, per child, and is due by the 10th of each month if registered for the entire program year or at child drop off if registered for the "as needed" plan. Payments may be made in cash or by check payable to Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake. Please see application form for applicable fees.
